Many of these disorders are minimized by the psychiatric field in their dangerous and destructive nature for those involved in relationships with those afflicted. In fact, many psychiatrists and therapists are not knowledgeable or very poorly versed on the subject of Axis II personality disorders. It would be safe to say that a majority of violent crimes are committed by people, who if properly diagnosed, suffer from Axis II personality disorders. An interesting new study here.
